My career in the Health and Fitness Industry started when I began teaching Chinese Martial Arts around 8 years ago. Becoming an instructor was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Through the teachings and training I have become a much stronger person both physically and mentally. I am a far more confident person and I now have a clear vision of the things I would like to achieve throughout my life.
To compliment my Martial Arts knowledge, I decided to get qualified as a Personal Trainer, Sport Massage Therapist and Nutritional Advisor in order to give me a better understanding of the body, how it works and how to effectively fuel the human machine for optimal health and performance.
Due to the vast differences in my ever increasing client base, I soon realised that the generic ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach that’s generally taught within the health and fitness industry was nowhere near adequate for achieving neither optimal, or sustainable results. This encouraged me to further my studies and in doing so I discovered The CHEK Institute.
They offer industry elite qualifications that are second to none and I am fully committed to completing the CHEK Study Programme and have already completed the CHEK Practioner Lv. 1 and CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Lv. 1 (along with many of their home study courses).
I am also trained in the use of Dr Michael Kucera’s state of the art Heart Rate Variability Analysis. This 5 minute, non-invasive test enables me to get a clear picture of how your body is coping and adapting to the stressors in your life which helps me to accurately design your nutritional programme and/or exercise programme. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained through my studies and continuing education enable me to thoroughly assess each individual physically, physiologically and nutritionally enabling me to design programmes that are 100% specific to each of my clients!
